Saturday November 29th, 7:30 pm.

Tragedy Ann is a compassion project from Guelph, Ontario, led by songwriters Liv Cazzola and Braden Phelan. Blending pump organ, guitar, accordion, and harmony-rich vocals, they craft songs that invite curiosity, empathy, and reflection. Their music is less about answers than about asking meaningful questions, drawing listeners into stories that feel both familiar and boldly forward-looking.

Their acclaimed albums Matches (2018) and Heirlooms (2022) showcase their orchestral folk sound and poetic depth. Tragedy Ann has Slow-Toured across Canada and abroad, performing everywhere from living rooms and backyards to the National Arts Centre, Celtic Connections (Scotland), Clonakilty International Guitar Festival (Ireland), and even a Belgian horse centre. Beyond Tragedy Ann, Cazzola and Phelan collaborate widely, appearing with The Lifers, contributing to peers’ albums, and facilitating workshops that nurture community through music.
